Man Murdered in Spruce Pine

"A Spruce Pine was charged with murder after authorities found a man’s body behind an apartment early on Sunday morning.
The Mitchell News-Journal reports 20-year-old Robert Clyde Riddle was charged with the murder of 53-year-old Allen Parker, of Lenoir, after Parker’s body was found severely beaten behind Deep Park Apartments.
Authorities found bloody towels, sheets, couch cushions, and a baseball bat in a nearby dumpster.
The Spruce Pine Police Department and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation are continuing their investigation into the incident."
